While at a critical point in the formation of the business, Paragent realized the value of a third-party critique of their business concept, especially with the need to raise outside capital becoming increasingly apparent. After learning of the Indiana Venture Center, Inc., Paragent contacted the Venture Center to gain product validation and investigate alternative sources of capital.

Once Paragent was identified as a high growth company, “The Venture Center [began assisting] in three areas: 1) an initial review and critique of the company, 2) a detailed analysis of our business plan with suggestions for improvement, and 3) most importantly, we met with Jeff Ready and gained useful insight and execution steps from the first meeting,” explained Jeffrey Cheesman, CFO and Co-Founder of Paragent. “Subsequently, we have formally engaged Mr. Ready as our Interim CEO.
